Hello! My name is Kristy Burgess. I am a fine artist, working predominantly with watercolour and gouache. I am based on the stunning Tasman Peninsula, which is located at the Southernmost edge of the island state of Tasmania. 

I studied a Diploma of Art Craft and Design at TAFE Tasmania.

My work is inspired by my home and the breathtaking and at times austere scenery surrounding it. I also draw much inspiration from poetry, fairytales, my travels through Europe and the whimsical illustrations of Trina Schart Hyman. Some of my many interests include history, vintage fashion, gardening and animals, and these interests all inform my work.
